A Ministry of Bereket Otoro

“The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.” — Matthew 9:37–38

Bereket grew up in a conservative evangelical Christian family and began sharing his faith in Jesus at the age of 11 while still in school. After serving for two years as a Maternal and Child Health Officer in government health offices, he responded to God’s call to full-time ministry by joining Cru in Ethiopia as a missionary staff member.

From June 2012 to September 2018, he served as the National Digital Strategy Team Leader and later as the National Young Christian Professionals Network Leader. In these roles, he mobilized young adults to reach their friends and colleagues and to transform their communities with the Gospel as marketplace missionaries.

Since April 2017, Bereket has also served as the Founder and Executive Director of Blessing4Nations Ministry in Ethiopia. By mobilizing local churches across different denominations, his team has shared the Good News with 337,692 people. As a result, 1,830 individuals made decisions to follow Jesus Christ, and 709 others recommitted their lives to Him.

By 2030, the ministry aspires to share the Good News with 1 million people and equip 14,000 young adults, lay missionaries, and church leaders to advance the Gospel in their communities and beyond.

Bereket has served the Lord in Ethiopia, Germany, and across Europe. He now serves in the United States as a bridge leader—reaching African immigrants, mobilizing believers, and stirring hearts toward intimacy with the Lord through prayer, Bible study, and fellowship. He actively engages in weekly Gospel outreaches in Houston and beyond, while developing emerging leaders, evangelists, and workplace missionaries among African diaspora communities.

From September to December 2025, he shared the Gospel with 1,889 people in Houston. Seventeen individuals made decisions to follow Jesus Christ, and two recommitted their lives to Him.

“I do it all for the sake of the gospel, that I may share in its blessings.” — 1 Corinthians 9:23
