Crista Polich

Crista Andja Polich is an author, public speaker, and most importantly, a survivor.

Crista lived in a verbally and physically abusive marriage for many years but kept the facade that she had a “perfect life and family.” As the years passed and the abuse progressed to dangerous levels, Crista summoned her strength and took a courageous step to end that unhealthy relationship. Just as she thought her challenges were behind her, fate dealt her an unimaginable blow. Three weeks after agreeing to separate and divorce, Crista became a widow when her husband committed suicide.

Caught off guard and unprepared for the unexpected turn her life had taken, Crista refused to be defeated. With unwavering determination, she began reclaiming her life, one step at a time. She pursued further education, has become an engaging author and speaker and founded her own consulting business. Additionally, Crista’s deep compassion for those less fortunate led her to establish Widows Without, a nonprofit ministry under Bridges US, dedicated to supporting widows and widowers.

I truly believe that we all have to go through difficult times in life.  I want to be God’s love machete.  I want to be like the guide in the jungle, hacking away at the weeds of your life.  I will walk alongside you during those difficult days to help clear the path—to to make it a little more easy to get through,” says Crista.
